On 28 -30 April 2016 in Minsk, Belarus was held an International Conference dedicated to the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The Conference on “The interaction of social partners upon the questions of occupational safety and health in the oil, gas and chemical industries” gathered together such countries as Switzerland, Norway, Germany, Italy, Republic of Moldova, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation and of course the Republic of Belarus.
During the Conference Alexander Korchagin, the President of ROGWU had a working meeting with Svetlana Klochok, the President of Belarusian trade union of Chemical, Mining and Oil industries’ workers, where the current Agreement between the trade unions was discussed along with the future working plans.
Another working meeting was held with the leaders of the member organizations of International Confederation of ROGWU. In the course of the meeting the question of multilateral cooperation was discussed.
Should be recalled that Alexander Korchagin was elected as the President of ROGWU on April 14 during the Vll Congress of the All-Russian oil, gas and construction workers’ union (Stage 2) and officially started his work as a President on April 30.
